Maserati Ghibli 2.9 V6 330 --> 420HP

The history of this particular car turned out to be far less straightforward than it initially seemed.

The car arrived with unknown software, power loss, and a host of troubling symptoms. The car was jerking, entering limp mode, and running erratically, so the first step was to restore the stock software to have a solid base for further diagnosis.

Even at this stage, it became clear that the problem was much more serious. The software was masking a misaligned timing chain – errors in the camshaft and crankshaft sensor synchronization were appearing. Everything indicates that the car was prepared this way "for sale," and the disabled safeguards only exacerbated the problem.

Consequently, the turbochargers were also damaged.

The scope of work included:
– repair and correct adjustment of the timing chain
– regeneration / repair of the turbochargers that were damaged due to the lack of safeguards in the software
– restoration of full functionality of the controller's safeguards

Only after bringing the car to full mechanical efficiency could we proceed with proper tuning.

The final result?
The car generated a healthy, safe power increase and – most importantly – stopped causing any problems in daily use.
